Black Hills State volleyball begins the 2022 campaign over the road for four games this weekend.
 
The team will be competing for two days in Kansas City, Mo. in the Rockhurst Invitational tournament. Day one will take place on August 26 with the Yellow Jackets taking on the hosting Rockhurst University at 11 a.m. MT and Missouri Western at 3 p.m. MT. Day two will consist of two more matchups against Minnesota State-Mankato at 9 a.m. MT and Hillsdale at 3 p.m. MT.
 
This weekend will also be the coaching debut for Bree Davis, who was brought on as the interim head coach for the Yellow Jackets this season.
 
Last season, the Yellow Jackets finished the season at 8-18 (5-13 RMAC) and are looking for a hot start on the road this season to prepare for RMAC play in September. This year's roster will see eight returning Yellow Jackets and eight new faces on the court, offering a mix of youth and experience to the team.
