COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Black Hills State men's basketball senior
Joel Scott was named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon.
Scott tallied his eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season over a historic weekend which saw him surpass the 2,000-point mark for his career and move into second place on BHSU's all-time scoring list. He totaled 52 points and 21 rebounds over the two-win weekend to go along with four blocks and three steals.
In the RMAC, Scott is third in the RMAC in scoring with 22.5 points per game and leads the league in rebounding with 10.1 rebounds per game and 171 total on the season. Nationally, he ranks third in defensive rebounds per game (8.53) and fourth in double-doubles this season (9).
This is Scott's third RMAC Player of the Week honor this year, and 10th of his career.
