Black Hills State women's triathlon has qualified for the 2023 NCAA Nationals which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 in Tempe, Ariz.
"We are very happy that our whole team, and one alternate, who competed at the Regional Qualifier will now get to race in the National Championships," said Head Coach Connie Feist. "It is a testament to the training and hard work each of our athletes has put into this season, and they are excited for the opportunity to race with the best collegiate triathletes in the nation."
As a team, the Yellow Jackets qualified to run in Heat 2 at Nationals, however two individuals qualified for Heat 1 in 
Lilja McKendry and 
Natalie Moose-Elkin. Running in the fastest heat of the Championships, McKendry and Moose-Elkin will have the opportunity to score more points for the team.
BHSU's remaining five athletes, 
Sydney Gasper, 
Jadyn Johnson, 
Cassidy Teeslink, 
Madelynn Potter and 
Sydney Campbell, will run in heat two and also contribute to the team score.
