Black Hills State triathlon and Head Coach Connie Feist, and BHSU Track and Field and distance coach Brian Medigovich, have signed Payton Sheehan for the 2024-25 season.
"We are so excited to have Payton join our team," said Feist. "She is a very talented multi-sport athlete who has achieved podium finishes while racing on a National, International and World Championship level in Triathlon. We expect Payton to excel in our training program and believe that she will thrive as a collegiate athlete while representing BHSU."
Sheehan will be a dual sport athlete, competing in triathlon, and also race in distance events in both the indoor and outdoor track seasons.
"We're thrilled to be able to add Payton to our signing class," Medigovich added. "Being a dual-athlete at the collegiate level can be difficult, but she is going to be a great asset to both programs and I look forward to seeing what she can do on the track."
