Sylvia Brown and Tim Brown, twins and junior members of the Black Hills State University Cross Country program joined episode seven of Jacket Chats, the official podcast of Black Hills State Athletics this week. Alongside host Bryce Johnson, they discussed what it's like being a part of the Cross Country team together, their performances at the South Central Regional meet this past weekend, and earning a berth to the National Championship meet.

2022: Competed in six meets for the Yellow Jackets… ran a career best 5k at the Gage McSpadden Memorial to place second (19:02.5)… ran another second-place race at the Chadron State Invite (19:33.01)… set another personal best 5k performance at the Yellowjacket Open for sixth (18:07.8)… led the Yellow Jackets at the NCAA DII Pre-National meet 6k with a 17^th place finish (21:35.8)… finished 23^rd at the 2022 RMAC Championships (22:39.8)… placed 31st at the NCAA DII South Central Regional Championships (22:35.00).

2021: Competed in three meets for the Yellow Jackets … Placed fourth at the Hardrocker XC Invite … Placed 13th out of 327 runners at the Roy Griak Invitational … Earned a 20th place finish at the RMAC Championship Meet … Ran a career best 5K at the Hardrocker Invite with a time of 19:29.5 … Ran a career best 6K at the RMAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 22:53.3.

2020: Competed in two meets for the Yellow Jackets ... Placed third at the Gage McSpadden Memorial with a time of 24:28.72 ... Placed 31st at the RMAC Cross Country Championships with a time of 23:05.1.
