Black Hills State triathlon has finalized its 2023 spring schedule, which includes two races, of which one is in California while the other is a home race in Spearfish.

BHSU will be traveling to Redwood City, Calif. for the Treeathlon Collegiate Race hosted by Stanford University on March 5th. The race will feature a wetsuit swim in the San Francisco bay, followed by a 20K draft legal bike and will conclude with a 5K run. The team is looking forward to racing again after their fifth-place finish at the Collegiate National Championships on November 12.  

The second and final race of the season for the Yellow Jackets will be at home, where the team will be hosting the Black Hills Tri Fest on Sunday, April 23rd. The race format will include a 500m pool swim, 25K bike and a 5K run with a track finish at Lyle Hare stadium. The race will feature both a collegiate and open wave.
