Black Hills State softball will begin its 2023 season with a pair of double-headers against Colorado School of Mines on Sunday and Monday in Golden, Colo.

The Yellow Jackets will play two on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., and a pair on Monday, Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Joe Coors, Jr. Softball Field.

The last time these two teams matched up was in the final series of last season, in which BHSU took three of four. The Yellow Jackets split on April 29 with a 3-2 win in game two, before earning 6-1, and 8-2 wins on April 30.

BHSU was picked to finish 10th in the RMAC after the conference released its 2023 preseason poll in January.

The BHSU softball program finished last season with a record of 13-29 over 42 games played, a 10-win increase from the season prior, and the team looks to continue progressing in the right direction.
