MBB Rolls Past Colorado Christian, 88-72

LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Black Hills State men's basketball came out with a well-rounded, 88-72 victory at Colorado Christian Wednesday night.

The Yellow Jackets (24-3, 18-3 RMAC) shot 54.1 percent from the field and 40.6 from deep, while out-rebounding CCU 35-28.

Joel Scott recorded his 12th double-double of the season with a 24-point, 14-rebound showing, and made 11-of-12 from the field.

Ryker Cisarik splashed a career-high 17 points, going 6-of-7 from the floor to go with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Matthew Ragsdale drained four threes on his way to a 14-point night along with three assists.

Sindou Cisse led the team with six assists while also recording five points, a pair of rebounds, a block and a steal.

Adam Moussa and PJ Hayes finished with nine points each.

Teams traded blows to open the game, as all five Yellow Jacket starters got into the scoring column over the first five minutes of play to hold a 13-10 advantage.

From there, threes from Hearne and Cisarik helped rattle off a 16-4 run to quickly extend to a 10-point lead, 24-14, with 12 minutes to go.

CCU went on a quick 8-2 spurt to pull within five, but the Yellow Jackets stalled the Cougar momentum by going on an 11-0 scoring run that included a Cisse layup and Cisarik trey to make it a 49-31 game.

In the final minutes of the half, Ragsdale hit a three to help send BHSU into the locker room, leading 52-39.

The Yellow Jackets continued to build on their lead out of the break as threes from Ragsdale and Scott pushed the score to 60-46 before a Moussa dunk extended the lead to 64-48 with 14:50 to play.

Back-to-back threes once more from Scott and Ragsdale made it an 18-point lead, 70-52 midway through the second half.

A Scott trey at 6:31 pushed BHSU out to over a 20-point advantage and then a Cisse free throw put the score at 81-58 with five to play.

Hayes, Shanklin and Cisarik all flushed slams in the final minutes as the Yellow Jackets won 88-72.
