MBB Has Three Named All-RMAC

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference released the 2022-23 All-Conference rosters on Wednesday afternoon, with three Yellow Jackets receiving conference honors.

For the second year in a row, Joel Scott was named RMAC Player of the Year while also making All-RMAC First Team.

Matthew Ragsdale earned Second Team All-RMAC and PJ Hayes was All-RMAC Honorable Mention.

Joel Scott
Scott continues to add to his resume at BHSU, and is now a two-time RMAC Player of the Year. He is the all-time leading scorer in program history, currently sitting at 2,314 career points, also making him second among all active leaders in Division II.

This season, Scott was the third-leading scorer in the RMAC, averaging 22.8 points per game, while also finishing as the second-leading rebounder in the league (9.1 per game), to be the only player in the RMAC to finish top-5 in both categories.

On the national level, Scott is top 10 in four statistical categories, including fourth in field goals made (240), seventh in total points (662), and eighth in both field goal percentage (.622) and points per game (22.8)

Matthew Ragsdale
In his first year as a member of the Yellow Jackets, Ragsdale earned his second career All-RMAC Second Team nod, and has been named All-RMAC every year of his collegiate career.

In 2022-23, Ragsdale continued to be an incredible shooter, shooting at a .488 clip from the field and .422 from deep, good for sixth in the RMAC and also 30th in the nation. He has scored 399 points this season, good for an average of 13.8 per game.

PJ Hayes
Hayes earned his first All-RMAC honor as honorable mention. He is second in the conference with a .444 shooting percentage from beyond the arc and his 2.5 threes per game puts him fourth in the RMAC.

He in averaging 11.0 points per game while shooting at a .515 clip from the field, and grabs 4.6 boards per game. Defensively he has totaled 12 steals and 10 blocks on the season.
