BHSU Returns to Spearfish to Battle Mountain Lions and Rangers

Yellow Jackets look to continue RMAC seeding push inside A2 Arena

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University men's basketball team (11-11, 9-7 RMAC) returns to Spearfish for the second meetings of the year against the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (11-12, 7-10 RMAC) and Regis University (12-11, 9-8 RMAC).

  • Matthew Ragsdale leads the conference with his 35.5 minutes per game on the floor.
  • He also sits second in the RMAC in made 3-pointers (60).
  • John Shanklin enters the weekend sitting in a tie for second in blocks per game (1.2), while his 23 blocks sits in a five-way tie for third.
  • Hoku Fisher sits 17th in the league in with his 2.5 assists per game.
RAGSDALE STAYS HOT
  • Ragsdale continues to be the lone RMAC men's basketball player to average 20+ points per game (21.2).
  • The mark sits 17th in all of NCAA Division II entering the weekend (as of Friday morning).
  • His 35.3% mark from 3-point range sits 11th in the RMAC and his overall FG% (.493) sits 12th.
  • He needs just 61 points to reach 1,000 in his BHSU career (currently at 939).
