SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets and Head Coach
Kelly Kruger dominated St. Edward's from start to finish. BHSU took the first quarter 27-8 as BHSU held a 20-point lead or more for most of the game. The Jackets were led by
Bradie Schlabs who continued her stellar start to her BHSU career with a 23-point game and new addition Addie Branscum also had 13 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BHSU owned the first quarter starting off on a 10-2 run that and Bradie Schlabs added to the lead with a three to make it 13-4. SEU made a jumper before BHSU went on a 14-2 run to end the half with ten points on two threes and a layup for Addie Branscum to give the Yellow Jackets a 27-8 lead going into the second quarter. Branscum and Schlabs had 17 points combined in the first quarter with leading the rebounding 13-5.
- St. Edward's started the second quarter on a 7-0 run to make it 27-15 early in the quarter. The Yellow Jackets answered with a 9-0 run to make it 38-15. SEU ended the quarter with six points to BHSU's four and the score went into half 42-21.
- Halftime leaders for the Yellow Jackets include Schlabs with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists on 6-9 shooting and Addie Branscum with 10 points and 2 rebounds on 3-7 shooting. Sawyer Stoebner has five rebounds and Emily Cooper has three assists. For St. Edward's, Suni Davis led the way with eight points and Mikah Chapman had four with four rebounds.
- The Hilltoppers started the third quarter with a layup before BHSU went on a 6-0 run with a layup by Brinlee McRae and four free throws by Bradie Schlabs to make it 48-23. Suni Davis of SEU got five straight points to get it back to 20 before Emily Cooper and Jasmyn Jackson traded threes to keep it there at 51-31. Yellow Jackets went on a 5-2 run to make it 56-33 before each team got two points before the end of the quarter to send it to 58-35 going into the fourth.
- SEU started the fourth quarter with a layup before Schlabs made a step-back three to answer and make it 61-37 after 2:36 with no score, Cooper made a layup to make it 63-37. SEU made two free throws and Maureen Ulrich made a layup before Coack Kelly Kruger turned to his deep bench. Jozie Dana hit her first career basket to get BHSU to 67 points as the crowd of kids went wild. Taylin Serlen made her first basket as a Yellow Jacket and Kenleigh Graham got her first career as well right after. With BHSU up 71-42, Lilly Meulemans got her first-career bucket to give BHSU the 73-42 lead.
