CROOKSTON, Minn.- The Yellow Jackets were unable to get their second win of the season, as they fall to Minnesota Crookston in game three of the season. The Yellow Jackets did not get enough from their starters as they only combined for 32 total points, while they were outscored by their bench, who had 36.
Sawyer Stoebner was the star for BHSU off the bench, eclipsing a career-high 20-point afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emily Cooper tied the game at 2-2 early in the first for BHSU's first points, before they started trading points with no one able to go on a run. The Golden Eagles grabbed a 12-9 lead off free throws before Addie Branscum made a three to tie it back up at 12. UMC's star Emma Miller made a three before Branscum answered with another one to keep it at 15. UMC would go on a 4-0 run to make it 19-15 before Cooper hit a three to make it 19-18 heading into the second quarter.
- Crookston hit a three to make it 22-18 to begin the fourth quarter and held the four point lead at 24-20 before Audrey Norville went on a 5-0 run by herself to make it 25-24. The two teams would trade layups before Branscum made two layups to make it 29-26. BHSU went on an 8-3 run to make it 39-31 before UMC went on a 6-0 run to only be down two 39-37 at half.
- Halftime leaders for the Yellow Jackets include Addison Branscum with 10 points and six rebounds, while Ulrich and Norville had eight and seven points. Cooper had four assists with five points. The Jackets shot 47.1 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three in the first half.
- BHSU could not get away from UMC to start the third quarter. After plenty of points early in the quarter, the lead was still only at three with 5:35 left in the quarter. BHSU took a 43-37 lead in the third quarter with two free throws, a layup by Branscum and the fifth and sixth points of the quarter from Stoebner. The Golden Eagles got it back down to three before Stoebner and Brinlee McRae each made shots to put it at 7, 57-50. Crookston made a couple free throws with four seconds to go in the quarter to send it to the final period 57-52.
- UMC went on an 7-0 run to begin the fourth after BHSU committed three turnovers on their first three possessions of the half and took a 59-57. Stoebner made four straight free throws to get BHSU back up 61-59. Crookston answered with a 7-1 run to make it 66-62. Stoebner made four of the next six points to get the Jackets within two at 68-66 before Miller hit a three to get it back to 71-66. UMC finished on a 4-2 run to win 75-68, but Stoebner had 16 points in the second half. The Golden Eagles outscored BHSU 23-11 in the fourth quarter and BHSU went 1-11 from the field in the fourth quarter, while UMC went 7-14.
