Chukwurah, Coulson Earn First Team All-RMAC Honors as Eight Receive League Recognition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the 2025 all-conference football teams and special award winners on Friday afternoon, which included the recognition of eight Black Hills State University student-athletes. Highlighting the eight honorees was the pair of TJ Chukwurah and Bryce Coulson who received first team honors, while Coulson again added a second team honor along with Kellen Collier. Earning honorable mention accolades were Cooper Brown, Ryan Ewing, Joshua Faulkner, Cameron Goods and Jayson Rouse.

FIRST TEAM ALL-RMAC (WR)
TJ CHUKWURAH | WIDE RECEIVER | REDSHIRT JUNIOR | 5-11 | 190 LBS | ARLINGTON, TEXAS | JUAN SEGUIN H.S.
Chukwurah recorded the best single season by a wide receiver in Black Hills State's NCAA Division II era, breaking records for receiving yards (1,100) and receiving touchdowns (16). He began the season with three straight 100-yard receiving games and added another three within the last five games for a total of six such games. He remains tied for fifth in all divisions of NCAA football (FBS, FCS, DII, and DIII) with his 16 receiving touchdowns and is first in NCAA Division II. Against then No. 3/5 Grand Valley State he set career-bests of 12 receptions and 182 receiving yards, while the three receiving touchdowns matched a career-high. He is the only player in the school's DII history to have multiple three receiving touchdown games, having done so now three times and twice in 2025. He also leads DII in receiving yards and is second in receiving yards per game. He is the RMAC leader in receiving touchdowns, receiving yards, and receiving yards per game.

Coulson was among the top return men in the country all year long, totaling a combined 689 return yards on kickoffs and punts, leading the RMAC and ranking 13th in the nation. He was the only player in the league to return multiple kickoff returns for touchdowns this year, doing so on the road against No. 3/5 Grand Valley State with a 96-yard kickoff return and then in the season finale against New Mexico Highlands with a 94-yard kickoff return. Additionally, he was the first player in the school's DII era to return multiple kickoffs for a touchdown in a single season. He averaged 25.52 yards per kickoff return and notched five returns of 35 or more yards. On punts he averaged 9.56 yards per return on 16 attempts, including three for 25 or more yards and had a long of 37-yards.

SECOND TEAM ALL-RMAC (DT)

Collier was third on the team in tackles in the 2025 season, totaling 56.0 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hurries for the Yellow Jackets. In five games this year he recorded five or more tackles, including posting a career-best of 12 against South Dakota Mines in the Black Hills Brawl. He notched a tackle for loss in eight contests this season and posted a season-high of 1.5 against No. 3/5 Grand Valley State.

Brown was one of seven Yellow Jackets on the defense with 40 or more tackles on the year, recording 41.0 total tackles, and adding a team-leading 11.0 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. He also tallied ten quarterback hurries, one pass break up, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one safety, and one touchdown. In four games he recorded five or more tackles, including a season-high of seven in the Black Hills Brawl against South Dakota Mines. In nine match-ups he notched a tackle for loss and on four occasions he had at least 1.5 tackles for loss. He tallied a season-best 2.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks in a victory over Fort Lewis. In the season finale he recorded his first career touchdown, scoring on a 43-yard return of a fumble recovery against New Mexico Highlands. At the end of the regular season, he ranked fourth in the RMAC with 0.45 sacks per game and was seventh with 1.00 tackles for loss per game.

Ewing concluded the 2025 season 8-of-12 on field goal attempts and was a perfect 41-of-41 on extra points. On field goal attempts of 40 yards or more he went 4-of-6, while inside 40 yards he was 4-of-6, and booted a season-long of 49 yards on two occasions against No. 5/6 Western Colorado and Colorado Mesa. Additionally, he split the uprights on four or more PATs in four contests. Ewing also held kickoff duties for the Yellow Jackets, totaling 62 attempts and averaging 62.0 yards per kickoff as he sent more than half out (36) of the end zone for touchbacks.

Faulkner snagged a team-best three interceptions during the 2025 season, with one apiece in match-ups against Fort Lewis, Colorado School of Mines, and Adams State. At the end of the regular season, he ranks fifth in the RMAC and 54th in NCAA Division II in interceptions per game, averaging 0.30 per contest. All three of his picks have resulted in six points, with the Yellow Jacket offense going on to find the end zone the ensuing drive after both of his interceptions against FLC and CSM, while against ASU he took the ball 40 yards to the house. He has also added 18.0 total tackles and four pass break-ups.

Goods spearheaded a one-two punch in the rushing attack all season long for the Yellow Jackets as he posted a team-high 670 net rushing yards on 114 attempts for an average of 5.9 yards per carry and five rushing touchdowns. He closed out his collegiate career with just his second 100-yard rushing game, totaling 169 yards on the ground against New Mexico Highlands on just 17 carries as he averaged 9.9 yards per touch, and he matched a career-high three touchdowns on the ground in the win. He ran for more than 75 yards in four games this season. He was also second on the team with 36 receptions on the year, totaling 258 receiving yards for an average of 7.17 yards per reception. He tallied 928 yards of total offense in 2025.

Anchoring the offensive line in 2025, Rouse provided senior leadership in a unit that did not allow a sack by the opponent four times this season, doing so against Sioux Falls, South Dakota Mines, Colorado Mesa, and New Mexico Highlands. He started all 11 contests up front, providing protection up front for an offense that averaged 356.8 yards of total offense, with 96.0 yards per game on the ground and 260.8 yards per game through the air. The offense began to click in the final month of the season with three straight games of more than 400 yards of total offense, and back-to-back games of 500 or more yards of total offense. The Yellow Jackets rushed for more than 100 yards on the ground four times and threw for more than 300 yards on four occasions.
