Yellow Jackets Ranked No. 23 in NABC Top-25 First Regular Season Poll

SPEARFISH, S.D. – For the second consecutive release of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II Top-25 Poll, the Black Hills State University men's basketball team finds themselves nationally-ranked. BHSU appears in the rankings at No. 23 in the first regular season release of the poll, after starting the season ranked No. 17 in the preseason poll. The Yellow Jackets have begun the year 3-1, with in-region wins over Sul Ross State and Texas A&M International and then split out of region contests at the East/West Challenge as they fell to (RV) MSU Moorhead (100-85) and then fended off Augustana (75-71).

The Yellow Jackets are the lone Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) team to be ranked or receiving votes, and are one of five ranked or receiving votes in the South Central Region as Lone Star Conference foes Lubbock Christian appears at No. 5, St. Mary's is No. 13, St. Edward's is No. 14, West Texas A&M is No. 15, and Angelo State is receiving votes.

The Green & Gold are set for a pair of games during feast week, traveling to Bismarck, North Dakota, for the Dakota Challenge. The Yellow Jackets will face Minot State in a 1 p.m. MT tip-off on Friday, November 28, and then in a 4 p.m. MT tip-off on Saturday, November 29, they will face the host school of UMary.
