McGraw Posts Trio of Top-10 Marks at Day One of Bryan Clay Multis

AZUSA, Calif. – Representing the Black Hills State University track & field program among the best multis athletes across the nation, Conor McGraw currently sits 13th in section C among 16 competitors at the Bryan Clay Multis, tallying 3,279 points. Competing against 12 NCAA Division I athletes, he collected top-10 finishes in three events and posted season-best outdoor times and marks in two events.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Conor McGraw started the day with his best finish of today's five decathlon events, running to a sixth place finish in the 100m dash with a season-best time of 11.37.
  • In the long jump he recorded a season-best outdoor mark of 5.94m (19' 6") for 16th place in the group.
  • He found his way back into the top-10 with a throw of 12.02m (39' 5.25") in the shot put for tenth place.
  • Clearing a height of 1.73m (5' 8"), he posted a 14th place finish in the high jump.
  • He ended the day with his third top-10 mark of the afternoon, clocking a time of 51.48 for seventh place in the 400m dash.
UP NEXT
Conor McGraw will conclude his competition this week in the decathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis Friday afternoon starting at 1 p.m. MT (12 p.m. PT) at the Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa, California. Additionally, the remainder of the Black Hills State track & field teams are set to compete Friday on The Blue Oval of Drake Stadium at the Jim Duncan Invitational, with field events beginning at 11:30 a.m. MT (12:30 p.m. CT) and track events starting at 1 p.m. MT (2 p.m. CT).
