CHADRON, Neb.- After losing two straight, the Yellow Jackets held off a feisty Chadron State team in route to a 67-54 win over the Eagles giving them their eighth RMAC win. The Yellow Jackets shot 24-29 from the field and only allowed the Eagles to take two free throws. They shot 43.5 percent from the field and used a 23-11 third quarter to pull away and take the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Yellow Jackets took the opening tip for a layup with Chadron going on a 5-0 run immediately after to make it 5-2. After two minutes of not scoring, Audrey Norville made a layup to get the score to 5-4. After another two minutes, Bradie Schlabs made a free throw, Ella Moser hit a layup and then Serlen answered with a layup to get the score to 7-7. The Yellow Jackets added three more points to get up to 10-7 before Kenna Wagner hit a three to tie it at ten. Each team made a layup to get it to 12-12 then Tess Rule got a putback layup to send it into the second quarter 14-12.
- BHSU went on a 4-0 run to begin the second quarter with Maureen Ulrich making two free throws and Alli Glasscock making a layup. Dreanna Jackson made a three and then CSC hit another layup to cut the lead to 18-17. Norville answered with a layup to get the lead back to three. Glasscock hit two free throws to make it a five point lead and then Chadron answered with a 10-0 run including back-to-back threes to take a 27-22 lead. BHSU called timeout and immediately responded with a  7-0 run to end half that included a Serlen three-point play and a Brinlee McRae three pointer.
- Halftime leaders for the Yellow Jackets included Norville, who has six points and two rebounds. Maureen Ulrich has six points and three rebounds. Serlen has five points and two rebounds and then Schlabs has three points and five assists. For Chadron State, Kenna Wagner has eight points with a pair of threes. Jackson and McKenzi Peterson both have six points.
- McRae started the second half with a three and then Audrey Quintana answered with a three of her own to keep the score at 32-30. Schlabs hit a three to make it a 37-30 game after a 5-0 run and then Quintana hit another three to make it 37-33. After a couple of free throws, Quintana hit another three to make it 39-36. BH went on a 5-2 run of all free throws and made the score 44-38. An 8-0 run with four points from Ulrich and a jumper from Glasscock and McRae made it 52-38 BHSU going into the final frame.
- Quintana made a layup to start the fourth quarter and get the score at 52-40. BHSU answered with a 6-0 run that all included McRae. Chadron went on an 8-0 run to get the lead down to ten at 58-48. A Schlabs free throw and a Emily Cooper layup made it 61-48. Chadron scored the next four to make it 61-52. Before BHSU went on a 6-2 run with free throws to make it 67-54, which is how the game ended giving BHSU the win.
