ALAMOSA, Colo.- The Yellow Jackets fell in three sets to the Adams State Grizzlies in Plachy Hall on Friday evening. Despite some great runs by BHSU, ASU was able to hold off some of the Yellow Jacket momentum to take their seventh win in eight games. Despite great performances from Izzy Saiki, the Green and Gold drop to 2-5 in RMAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- BHSU got off to an early start as Carsyn Mettler had two kills in the early going as well as an Saiki ace to get the Yellow Jackets a 6-2 lead. Adams won five straight points to take the 7-6 lead and then BHSU won five of the next nine points to grab the lead back at 12-10. The Grizzlies immediately took seven in a row and 13 of the next 19 to take a 23-18 lead. The Jackets were able to get to 20 points before ASU won two in a row to take the first set 25-20 and a 1-0 set lead.
- Saiki had three kills in a row to begin the second set and then got a fourth after two Adams State points. Mettler grabbed two kills as BHSU was able to hold an 8-5 lead then got a 10-6 lead on another Saiki kill and a Makayla Dorsey ace. The Grizzlies went on a 9-2 run to take a 15-12 lead. After some back-and-forth, the Jackets were able to go on a 4-1 run to tie the game at 18-18 and the score remained tied at 19-19. ASU won four in a row to grab the lead at 23-19 and then BHSU won three in a row with a Mettler kill and a Saiki ace to make it 23-22. Two Green and Gold attack errors gave ASU the win at 25-22 and gave them a 2-0 set advantage.
- The third set started close with the score tied at 3-3, BHSU was able to keep it close thanks to a couple attack errors from Adams to make it 7-6. Adams then went on a 5-0 run to take a 12-6 lead. The Yellow Jackets were able to win six of eight points to make it 15-12. The Grizzlies went on a 6-3 run to make it 21-15. A 4-2 run by BH made it 23-19 before Adams won two in a row to win the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.
