SPEARFISH, S.D.- The Yellow Jackets were incredibly close to upsetting the number nine team in the country in game one of the doubleheader today as they held a four run lead with only four outs to go, but Christian's late offensive surge ended those hopes and sent BHSU down in all four games of the series and both games today as BHSU was run-ruled in game two. The Yellow Jackets for the third straight game this series hit two home runs in a game, before not hitting one in game four.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- The two teams were in a pitching duel for the early part of this game as BHSU got CCU into two double plays in the early innings and CCU also got BHSU into a double play with the bases loaded in the first to get out of that jam. Neither team was producing runs until the bottom of the fourth inning.
- In the bottom of the fourth inning, Desi Hernandez singled to lead off the inning and was on second with two outs. Alyssa Wong hit a single to score Hernandez and make it 1-0. She immediately scored on a two-run home run by Audrey Fouras to put BHSU up 3-0. And for the second time this series, BHSU went back-to-back as Lily Simmons hit her second home run of the series to put the Green and Gold up 4-0.
- Kaitlyn Geschwill continued to dominate going 1-2-3 in the fifth and getting two easy outs in the sixth. Then it unraveled. Geschwill gave up a two-out single to Kat Hanson and then after a long battle with Elyse McMullin, she gave up a two-run home run to make it 4-2. Then, after another battle with Arriana Wright, Wright hit her 11th homer of the season to make it 4-3. Finally, the pitcher, Felesha LePenske also hit a solo homer over the left field fence to tie the game after back-to-back-to-back home runs.
- In the top of the seventh inning, Peyton Marvel reached on an infield single and stole second base. Paisley Williamson walked and Sarah Dollerschell sacrifice bunted them both up a bag. A bad throw home by the second basemen on a groundout resulted in two runs scoring and putting CCU up 6-4.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Sammie Kaufman-Warner singled and Hernandez grounded into a fielder's choice with two outs, but a bad throw by Marvel allowed both runners to be safe and Kaufman-Warner to get to third. Caylee Mann then sent  the first pitch of her at bat to deep left field, where it was caught at the wall by the left field just a few feet short of a walk-off home run as CCU escaped with their 37th straight win 6-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- Kat Hanson singled to begin this game as well. She advanced to second on a groundout and scored on a single by Arriana Wright as CCU took an early 1-0 lead.
- After no runs scored in the next two innings, BHSU came up to bat in the bottom of the third. Fouras was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Lily Simmons. Carly Reyes Mims singled to put runners on the corners and Jessica Melendez singled to tie the game at 1-1.
- In the top of the fourth, Maya Schroeder led off the inning with a double and scored on a two-run home run by Marvel to make it 3-1. Williamson tripled directly after and Paige Goodell replaced Sophia Honse. On her first pitch of the day, she threw it over the glove of Carli Maley to score Williamson from third, before getting the next three batters out including a strikeout of Hanson, only her fifth of the year.
- LePenske was hit by a pitch to leadoff the top of the fifth inning. Four straight singled by Garcia, Schroeder, Marvel, and Williamson scored two more runs before Schroeder was thrown out at home to keep it at 6-1. A Dollerschell sac bunt put runners on second and third base and two straight walks made it 7-1. Arriana Wright immediately stopped the walk train with a grand slam to make it 11-1. This was all that was needed as BHSU didn't put up another run and CCU swept the series with two run rules.
