GOLDEN, Colo.- The Yellow Jackets were able to grab a win in game three of the series versus Colorado School of Mines, which allowed BHSU to avoid being swept by the Orediggers with a run-rule loss in the final game of the series. BHSU's offense came alive in game three but it was getting hits in clutch situations that hurt BHSU in game four as the Yellow Jackets left six on base in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 1
- Kellan Ton started off Mines scoring with an infield single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, and advanced to third on a groundout. Katie Bauer was hit by a pitch to put runners on the corners, which meant, the double steal was coming and it did, as Ton made it home to take a 1-0 lead.
- Lily Simmons walked to begin the third inning, she advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, and to third on a wild pitch. Alyssa Wong was hit by a pitch and Sammie Kaufman-Warner hit an infield single to load the bases. A passed ball allowed Simmons to score and moved the runners to second and third. Desi Hernandez hit a double to score both runners and make it 2-1. Rylee Church took over for Kat Miller and allowed a walk and an RBI groundout to make it 3-1 BHSU.
- Kellan Ton, who is in the conversation for RMAC Player of the Week kept her insanely hot series going with an inside the park home run to leadoff the bottom of the third inning. Kendall Aragon immediately followed that up with a one-out solo home run to tie the game at 3-3.
- In the top of the fourth inning, Brooklyn Theiler was hit by a pitch, Simmons bunt singled, and Melendez walked to load the bases. Kaufman-Warner hit a one-out sacrifice fly to make it 4-3 and Hernandez hit a double to score both runners making it 6-3 through four.
- BHSU got out of back-to-back jams in the fourth and fifth inning going into the top of the sixth. Simmons walked to lead off the sixth and Melendez singled. Kaufman-Warner grounded into a fielder's choice that got Simmons out at third, but a bad throw to first allowed both other runners to advance a base and make it second and third with two outs. Hernandez was hit by a pitch to load the bases and Caylee Mann hit a single to score a run which made it 7-3.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Ton walked with one out, advanced to second on a wild pitch, and advanced to third on a wild pitch with a walk to Romero, who stole second trying to induce the double steal. A groundout scored Ton to make it 7-4.
- In the top of the seventh, Milanowski hit a one-out single and was pinch ran for by Theiler. She then scored on a double by Jessica Melendez, who was then thrown out at home on a single by Alyssa Wong to end the inning, which put BHSU up 8-4. A 1-2-3 inning ended the game and gave BHSU their first win in the series.

HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME 2
- Melendez was hit by a pitch to leadoff the game, but was out on a sacrifice bunt attempt that got Wong to first. Kaufman-Warner walked and a double by Caylee Mann scored Wong to give BHSU a 1-0 lead.
- Delaney Milanowski homered to leadoff the second inning to put BHSU up 2-0 early.
- Grace Weiler walked to leadoff the bottom of the second inning and a bunt single by E Self advanced her. Ryan Herman laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance both runners and with two outs, a bunt single by Sam Whisenand scored a run to make it 2-1. She stole second and Ton singled to score both runners and make it 3-2.
- After a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the third, Miquela Tammaro reached on a fielding error, advanced to third on a single by Weiler, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Self. A fielder's choice advanced Weiler to second and allowed Herman to reach. With two outs, Whisenand hit a single, but Weiler was thrown out at home to end the inning with the lead now standing at 4-2.
- In the top of the fourth, Caylee Mann singled, Carli Maley doubled, and Milanowski walked to load the bases with no outs, but no runners were able to score as Wayne got out of it.
- CSM broke it open in the bottom of the fourth when Ton doubled to leadoff the inning, she advanced to third on a perfect bunt single by Romero, and both scored on a triple by Aragon. Sophia Honse came in for Goodell and allowed a single to Tammaro to score Aragon making it 7-2. Weiler singled to advance the pinch running Mia Lopez to second and a sacrifice bunt moved the runners to second and third. A groundout by Herman scored Lopez to take an 8-2 lead.
- In the top of the fifth, Kaufman-Warner walked with one out and scored on a third double by Hernandez to make it 8-3.
- Whisenand singled to begin the bottom of the fifth, stole second, and advanced to third on a single by Romero. Aragon tripled to score both runners, Lopez was hit by pitch, and Aragon scored on a walk-off double steal to win in five innings 11-3.

The Yellow Jackets have made the jump into a tie with MSUD and CMU in the RMAC standings, but now have a very tough test at home next weekend where they will face the #10 team in the country in Colorado Christian, who has yet to lose a game in RMAC play this year.
