NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honorees on Wednesday, recognizing three Black Hills State University women's track & field athletes. Among the Yellow Jackets receiving the accolade were
Gretchen Adamski and
Lauryn Bennett in the pole vault and
Cassidy Goddard in the discus throw. In order to receive recognition student-athletes must be within the top-5 of an individual event or a part of a top-3 relay team within their respective regions.

Adamski, a sophomore jumper from Spearfish, ranked as the No. 2 pole vaulter in the South Central Region as she recorded an NCAA Provisional mark of 3.92m (12' 10.25") at the Mines Kit Mayer Classic in April. The provisional mark ended the year as the 23
rd best mark in the nation, first in the RMAC, and second all-time in school history. At the conference championships she earned First Team All-RMAC honors with a second place finish and clearance of 3.82m (12' 6.25"). She cleared 12' or better in six meets and won a total of four meets during the outdoor season.

Bennett, a sophomore jumper from Powell, Wyoming, ranked as the No. 5 pole vaulter in the South Central Region as she recorded an NCAA Provisional mark of 3.80m (12' 5.5") at the Jack Christiansen Invitational in March. The provisional mark also ranked 43
rd in the nation and sixth all-time in school history. At the 2026 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, she finished seventh with a clearance of 3.57m (11' 8.5"). She earned two event victories, and six top-5 finishes this outdoor season

Goddard, a sophomore thrower from Haxtun, Colorado, ranked as the No. 3 discus thrower in the South Central Region and will enter the national championships next week with the No. 16 mark in the nation, recording a distance of 49.24m (161' 6") at the UMary Last Chance to secure her spot. The qualifying mark also ranks second all-time in school history and is the top mark in the Yellow Jackets DII era. While only qualifying in the discus for the national championships, she did also notch an NCAA Provisional mark in the hammer throw earlier this season, ranking 30
th nationally in the event with a mark of 53.84m (176' 8") at the Mines Midweek & Multi, which ties for fifth in school history. At the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships she earned First Team All-RMAC honors in the hammer throw with a third place finish and mark of 53.05m (174' 0"), while also finishing 11
th in the discus throw with a mark of 40.38m (132' 6").
