Black Hills State Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Notches Six CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - For the second consecutive year, the Black Hills State University women's track & field/cross country program recorded the maximum number of recipients on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® list, as Cassidy Goddard, Evie Boyd, Abigail RobbersonErin WeibelAlivia Weathers, and Gretchen Adamski each received the honor on Tuesday. Both Goddard and Boyd were among student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15, 2026. 

Goddard, a sophomore from Haxtun, Colorado, earned her first career trip to the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships this spring, and earned Honorable Mention All-American accolades in the discus throw. She secured her All-American honors with an 18th place finish with a throw of 43.52m (142' 9"). Also, during the outdoor season, she captured First Team All-RMAC honors in the hammer throw with a third place finish and mark of 53.05m (174' 0"). During the indoor season, she earned Second Team All-RMAC honors in the weight throw with a fifth place finish and mark of 16.63m (54' 6.75"). She holds three top-10 all-time marks in school history this season, ranking second all-time in the outdoor discus throw with a mark of 49.24m (161' 6"), ranking fifth all-time in the outdoor hammer throw with a mark of 53.84m (176' 8"), and ranking seventh all-time in the indoor weight throw with a mark of 16.63m (54' 6.75"). In the indoor season she ranked eighth in the South Central Region in the weight throw with a mark of 16.63m (54' 6.75"). In the outdoor season she ranked third in the region and 16th nationally in the discuss with a mark of 49.24m (161' 6"), and she also ranked sixth regionally and 30th nationally in the hammer throw with a mark of 53.84m (176' 8"). Academically, she is a 2-time First Team Academic All-RMAC selection and RMAC Academic Honor Roll selection from the 2026 indoor and outdoor seasons. She is pursuing a degree in exercise science. 

Boyd, a senior from Niwot, Colorado, was the leader of the Yellow Jacket cross country team and punched her ticket to the national championships in the outdoor season as well. In the fall she was the highest finishing BHSU runner at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship with a 28th place finish and a career-best 6K time of 21:44.6. Then after redshirting the indoor season, she returned to the track and set two school records in the outdoor season, posting a time of 16:56.38 in the 5,000m run and a time of 10:29.85 in the 3,000m steeplechase. She eventually went on to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships where she earned Honorable Mention All-American honors in the 3,000m steeplechase with a 17th place finish and time of 10:43.59. Additionally, she posted also times in the 1,500m run (4:38.32) and the 10,000m run (37:29.73) that rank fifth and sixth all-time in school history. She ranked sixth in the South Central Region and 15th in NCAA Division II in the 3,000m steeplechase (10:29.85). Regionally in the 5,000m run (16:56.38), 10,000m run (36:21.81), and the 1,500m run (4:38.32) she ranked 15th, 17th, and 37th. Academically, she is a 6-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient, receiving the honor during cross country in 2024 and 2025, the indoor season in 2024 and 2025, and the outdoor season in 2025 and 2026. This fall (2025) she was also a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete for cross country. She received a degree in elementary education. 

Robberson, a junior from Casper, Wyoming, earned her second CSC Academic All-District® honor as she was one of five to receive the accolade in 2025 as well. During the fall she ran three career-best times at the 4K (16:19.1), 5K (19:31.9), and 3.73M (24:02.7) distances in cross country. She ended the season by posting 6K times of 23:49.0 for 76th at the RMAC Championships and 23:59.7 for 111th place at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship. During the indoor and outdoor track seasons she notched four career-best times, running a 5:30.31 mile, a 10:53.73 3,000m run, an 18:02.70 5,000m run, and 37:58.62 10,000m run. During the outdoor season, she ranked 24th in the South Central Region in the 10,000m run (37:20.49) and was 45th in the 5,000m run (17:48.24). She qualified for the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, collecting an 11th place finish in the 10,000m run (38:30.23). Academically, she is a 6-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient, receiving the award for cross country in 2024 and 2025, for indoor track & field in 2025 and 2026, and for outdoor track & field in 2025 and 2026. She is pursuing a degree in biology and a master's in chemistry / integrated genomics. 

Weibel, a senior from Casper, Wyoming, also earned her second CSC Academic All-District® honor as she was one of five to receive the accolade in 2025. She qualified for the RMAC Championships in both indoor and outdoor pole vault and recorded an 11th place finish at the outdoor conference championships with a mark of 3.42m (11' 2.5"). Also, during the outdoor season, she notched a new career-best mark in the javelin throw, notching a distance of 28.05m (92' 0") on a toss at the Bauer Open. Academically, she is a 5-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient, receiving the award in 2024, 2025, and 2026 for indoor track & field, and in 2025 and 2026 for outdoor track & field. She received a degree in physical education. 

Weathers, a senior from Yuma, Colorado, rounds out the trio of Yellow Jackets to earn their second CSC Academic All-District® honor this year. During the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons, the multis athlete recorded 12 career-best marks and times, including three of which ranked within the top-10 in school history. Among the three top-10 all-time marks and times, she ranks second-all-time in school history in the javelin with a throw of 41.40m (135' 10"), ranks fifth all-time in the heptathlon with a total of 4,291 points, and ranks tenth all-time in the pentathlon with a total of 2,822 points. In the javelin, she posted a fourth place finish at the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning Second Team All-RMAC honors with a throw of 41.40m (135' 10"). During the indoor season she ranked within the top-50 of the South Central Region in three events, ranking 29th in the shot put (11.78m, 38' 7.75"), 31st in the pentathlon (2,848), and 43rd in the triple jump (10.21m, 33' 6"). During the outdoor season, she ranked within the top-50 of the region in five events, ranking tenth in the javelin (41.10m, 135' 10"), 20th in the heptathlon (4,291), 37th in the shot put (11.24m, 36' 10.5"), 48th in the 400m hurdles (1:08.92), and 49th in the 100m hurdles (15.59). She is a 5-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient, receiving the award in 2024, 2025, and 2026 for indoor track & field, and 2025 and 2026 for outdoor track & field. She earned a degree in general studies and entrepreneurial studies. 

Adamski, a sophomore from Spearfish, South Dakota, helped lead one of the nation's top pole vault groups. She earned All-South Central Region honors in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, ranking third regionally during the indoor season with a mark of 3.82m (12' 6.25") and second during the outdoor season with a mark of 3.92m (12' 10.25"). Additionally, during the outdoor season she ranked 23rd in NCAA Division II in the event. She earned First Team All-RMAC honors during both the indoor and outdoor seasons as well, posting second place finishes and vaults of 3.82m (12' 6.25") at both the RMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships and the RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Her vault of 3.92m (12' 10.25") currently ranks second all-time in school history for the outdoor pole vault, and her vault of 3.82m (12' 6.25") ranks fourth all-time in program history in the indoor pole vault. Academically, she received First Team Academic All-RMAC in the 2026 indoor season and is a 2-time RMAC Academic Honor Roll recipient for both the 2026 indoor and outdoor seasons. She is pursuing a degree in exercise science.
