SPEARFISH, S.D.- Black Hills State University head women's golf coach Randy Doran announced the signing of Reagan Hatling (Belle Fourche, S.D.) on Tuesday afternoon as an addition to his 2026 class. She joined Cheyenne Shade (Casper, Wyo.), Megan Robb (South Heart, N.D.) and Madison Brown (Evanston, Wyo.) as one of four in this incoming class. She just finished off her career at Belle Fourche High School wither her best year yet.

Hatling enters BHSU after spending six years on the golf team at Belle Fourche. She earned a letter in all six years, and was a captain of head coach Damon Lange's team for two. She qualified for state all four years of high school. Her senior year was her best year to this date as she earned All-Conference honors for the first time this past season. She turned that into her best finish at state finishing in a tie for 36 with a 176. She has continued to improve every season, in her junior season and first year as a captain, she finished in a tie for 42^nd at state, then in a tie for 45^th her sophomore season. She ended up in a tie for 63^rd her first state appearance as a freshman. Hatling was a three sport athlete in high school also playing in volleyball and basketball and was named academic all-state in all three sports her senior year while also being the president of National Honor Society. Hatling is the daughter of Brandon and Julie Hatling and the sister to Owen.
Coach Doran's Thoughts: "I am very excited to have Reagan joining our BHSU Golf Program this fall. As a multisport athlete during her high school career, she has shown the potential to play at the next level throughout the spring season, leading the Belle Fourche girl's golf team at conference, regionals, and state. Once she gets on campus and able to focus on a single sport I really think you will see her game jump to a whole other level.  She shot a 37, one over par, on her first 9 holes at the state tournament, the talent and potential is definitely there. I am equally excited about what Reagon will bring to our program off the course as well, I know she will be a great teammate, an outstanding student, and an amazing addition to our Yellow Jacket Golf Family."
