SHERIDAN, Wyo. –  The Yellow Jackets were able to finish off their first season with a second straight solid team round. BHSU was able to shoot a 334 (+46) today to go with the 329 (+41) yesterday to shoot a 1033 (+169) over the three-day tournament. Despite a rough opening day, the Yellow Jackets put together the second best 54-hole team score since BHSU joined D2. The Green and Gold settled down and put together great rounds including a 78 today from Shelbi Gardner, who jumped from being in 52^nd place after day one to being in 37^th place after today.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Shelbi Gardner was able to find her second best round of her career today shooting a 78 (+6) on day three, which combined with a 80 (+8) on day two, and a 90 (+18) on day one, puts her at a 248 (+32), which is tied for the third best 54-hole individual score in the teams D2 history. She finished in a tie for 37^th as she moved up 15 spots in two day. Today was a fun day, because Gardner was able to make her first eagle for her career and first eagle for a Yellow Jacket in a long at least four years (can't confirm past that). She shot a even par 36 on the back nine today. She finished her round with ten pars and an eagle and in the tournament, she had 27 pars, two birdies, and an eagle.
• Megan Robb, the freshman, posted a 90 (+18) today, which was fifth on the team, but her 80 (+8) from yesterday was able to keep her in second on the team, as she finished with a 261 (+45) over the three days and sat in 47^th place. Robb made five pars on the day today, and over the course of the tournament, she made 19 pars and two birdies.
• Cheyenne Shade stayed in the third on the team overall, but was second today with an 83 (+11), combine that with the 85 (+13) from yesterday and the 94 (+22) from day one, she finished only one shot shy of Robb with a 262 (+46) and in a tie for 48^th place. Shade was able to have a very strong end to the day going even over her last seven holes with a birdie on hole nine. She had seven pars today and 18 for the tournament, while having three birdies also.
• Ava Kalanek, after the 84 (+12) yesterday, she shot an 86 (+14) today and finished with a 54-hole score of 267 (+51) to put her in a tie for 54^th place. She started +1 thru her first seven holes today with a birdie on hole 16. She also had a birdie on hole two and ended up with seven pars. She had 15 pars and four birdies this tourney.
• Madison Brown, another freshman making her college debut, was one of three golfers on BHSU to improve every day. She started with a 95 (+23) on day one, before shooting an 89 (+17) on day two. She followed that today by shooting an 87 (+15) today to shoot a 271 (+55) for the tournament and in a tie for 56^th place. Brown only shot a 41 (+5) on the back nine today with five pars between holes 10 and 16. She finished with seven pars today and 17 on the tournament with two birdies.
• Hatling was third golfer to improve each and every day. She shot a 108 (+36) today, which put her at a 336 (+120) for the tournament. She finished in 63^rd place. She had three pars for the tournament including paring hole 13, her second hole, today.
