High School:
Leavitt was a two sport athlete at Green River High School where he earned varsity letters in both track and cross country.  Leavitt earned all-conference honors and all-state honors in 2008.

Personal:
Leavitt is the son of David and Lurrain Leavitt of Green River, Wyo. where his father is a computer tech and his mother is a social worker.  Leavitt is majoring in special education.
