Clocked a season best at the NAIA National Championships in Kenosha, WI in 19:38. In the DAC championships  she placed 6th recieving all conference honors... Raced the 3k indoor, running a personal best of 11:09 at the Holiday Inn Invitational in Lincoln, NE... Redshirted outdoor track
 
High School:
Leigh Anne Whiteside was a three sport athlete at Loveland High School where she earned varsity letters in cross country (4), track and field (4) and swimming (1). Whiteside was named All-Conference in cross country and in track.
Personal Life:
Leigh Anne Whiteside is a junior at Black Hills State majoring in exercise science. She is the daughter of Mike and Dianne Whiteside of Loveland, Colo. where her father is a bookkeeper and her mother is an organizer extraordinaire. In her free time Whiteside enjoys rock climbing and spelunking and her favorite food is Nutella ice cream.
