PREP: Waddell was a 1-year starter and captain for Perry High School and head coach Joseph Ortiz. During the 2024 campaign the Pumas advanced to the Arizona AIA 6A State Quarterfinals for the second consecutive season as they recorded a 6-6 mark on the year. Helping pave the way for an offense that averaged 22.9 points per games to go along with 182.3 passing and 101.5 rushing yards per game as he was recognized as First Team AIA 6A Premier All-Region, First Team All-CUSD, and Honorable Mention AIA 6A All-State. He is the son of former collegiate student-athletes as his father, Michael, played football at Arizona State University and his mother, Natalie, played volleyball at Grand Canyon University. He has two siblings, Trace and Presley Waddell.
