Pre-BHSU: 2-year starter for the Thunderbirds…Combined for 449 kills over two seasons and led the team in hitting percentage her sophomore year (.251) … She also had a combined 115 blocks with 77 coming in her sophomore season. Before attending Mesa Community College, she attended American Leadership Academy of Queen Creek, where she was team captain her senior year and was a 3-year starter…Her senior year, she finished with 170 kills and a team leading 56 total blocks, while leading her team with a .292 hitting percentage under head coach Brad Hekekia…She played club volleyball for Spiral Volleyball Club in Chandler, Arizona…Abril graduated Magna Cum Laude from ALA-QC and majored in American Sign Language at MCC…She is the daughter of John and Jennifer Wagner and is married to Carson Abril…She has four siblings: Pierce, Sierra, Gabe, and Maxwell…Her husband Carson played two years of tennis at Mesa Community College, and her brother Gabe is the associate head volleyball coach at Southern Virginia University.
