Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University
volleyball team defeated Minot State 3-0 to improve to 11-17 (6-5
DAC). The Yellow Jackets swept the Beavers 25-15, 25-17, and 25-21
Saturday at the Donald Young Center.
“It was an emotional game for us and our girls played
hard,” said head coach Jennifer Weitzel. “Our younger
girls followed the example set by our seniors and we came away with
the win.”
The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Maggie O'Neill and
sophomore Kylee Lamb who each had eight kills. Lamb finished
the contest with a hitting percentage of .438. Black Hills
State dominated Minot State with 13 total team blocks to Minot
State's two.
Black Hills State will return to action Friday, October 29 in
Jamestown, N.D. at 7 p.m. MT.
