Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University
volleyball team knocked off the S.D. School of Mines 3-0 on
Wednesday night in Spearfish, S.D.
The Yellow Jackets took set one 25-20 and the second set
30-28. Black Hills State wrapped up the three-game sweep in
the third set 25-23. Black Hills State was led in kills by
senior outside hitter Maggie O'Neill who posted 17 on the
night. Sophomore middle hitter Kylee Lamb chipped in with 13
kills.
“We played well enough to win tonight,” said head
coach Jennifer Weitzel. “We still have to work out some
inconsistencies, but we are improving every match.”
Black Hills State will return to the court on Friday, October 15
at 7 p.m. when the Yellow Jackets will square off against Mayville
State.
