Box Score Spearfish, S.D. - The Black Hills State University women's basketball team fell to Jamestown 77-72 in the semifinal round of the Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) tournament.
Black Hills State, 22-7 overall and 11-3 in the DAC, led 36-32 at halftime. However, the Yellow Jackets were outscored 36-45 in the final 20 minutes. Jamestown connected on 60% of their three-point attempts in the second half. The Yellow Jackets had a 10 point lead early in the second half before Jamestown went on a 16-5 run to take the lead with 13:36 left in the game. Black Hills State would regain the lead 54-53 with just over 11 minutes to go. The Yellow Jackets struggled shooting late in the game and did not hit a shot from the field in the final 4:52.
The Yellow Jackets were led by senior Katelynn Lamb who finished the contest with 22 points, six rebounds and three steals. Junior Kristi Ryan netted 12 points and senior Janna Schriber added 11 points.
Black Hills State will now wait for the NAIA National tournament bracket to be released on Wednesday, March 2. The Yellow Jackets will look to receive an at large bid.
