Grand Junction, Colo. - The Black Hills State University volleyball team was defeated 3-1 by Colorado Mesa on Saturday afternoon in Grand Junction, Colo.
The Yellow Jackets won the first set 26-24 before dropping the next three sets 25-22, 25-21, and 25-17. Caitlin Templeton led the Yellow Jackets in kills with 14. Kylee Lamb and Amy O'Neill each chipped in with 10 kills. Despite holding Colorado Mesa to a .174 team hitting percentage and out blocked Colorado Mesa in the match, Black Hills State could not come up with the victory.
Black Hills State will face Colorado Christian in Denver, Colo. on Sunday, September 25 at 7 p.m. MT.
