Box Score LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Black Hills State University women's soccer team fell 9-0 Friday afternoon in its first-ever meeting with Colorado Christian University.
The Cougars, who improve to 6-6-3 overall and 3-4-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, jumped on the scoreboard in the eighth minute of action when Madison Stanton sent a pass to Alyssa Regalado into the box where Regalado scored the goal in the lower right corner.
CCU added a second goal in the 24th minute and led 4-0 at the intermission.
Black Hills State received its lone shot when
Rose Miller sent a shot towards the net but missed high.
Therese Wilhelmi started and played all 90 minutes between the frame stopping 15 shots. The 15 saves are a season high for the freshman and is the most saves in the RMAC this season.
Black Hills State continues its stay in Colorado facing No. 10 Colorado Mines on Sunday at noon.Â
