WSOC: Fort Lewis Shoots Past Yellow Jackets 3-0

DURANGO, Colo. – The Black Hills State University women's soccer team fell behind 3-0 in the first half but held Fort Lewis scoreless in the second stanza in the loss Friday afternoon in Durango, Colorado.

In the 18th minute Alicia Sanchez scored on a free kick from 20-yards out. The Skyhawks also scored in the 37th minute with a sliding kick into the net from Keisha Green and a strike from 25 yards out from Emma Patron in the 44th minute of action.

Black Hills State tallied four shots on the afternoon with two from the feet of Emma Jurewicz. One of her shots landed on frame. The other shots came from Rose Miller andJessica Ryan.

Therese Wilhelmi and Raven Johnson split time in the net with Wilhemli accumulating six saves and Johnson five.

The Yellow Jackets fall to 1-9 overall and 0-5 in the RMAC while FLC improves to 6-4-1, 5-2-0.

Black Hills State continues its road swing in Colorado with a noon match against Adams State on Sunday.
