SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's soccer team travels to Billings, Montana for a pair of games this weekend at the Rimrock Classic. The Yellow Jackets take on host Montana State Billings on Friday, September 8, before playing the University of Mary on Sunday, September 10. Friday's match is scheduled for 11 a.m., while Sunday's game kicks off at 2 p.m.

MSU Billings (0-2) is located in Billings, Montana, and competes in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Yellowjackets were picked to finish sixth in the GNAC Preseason Poll, after finishing 2016 with a 4-6-2 conference record, and a 4-10-3 overall record. To begin the 2017 season, MSUB fell to Nebraska Kearney (2-1) and Drury (2-1). Alexa Iacolucci has scored both the goals for the Yellowjackets. Lili Delgadillo (0-2) has played all 180 minutes in goal, allowing four goals and making eight saves.

The University of Mary (1-0) is located in Bismack, North Dakota, and the team competes in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Marauders were picked to finish 12th in the NSIC Preseason poll. They were 4-10-3 overall, and 4-9-2 in league play. Mary opened 2017 with a 2-1 victory over Minot State. Caylin Cathey and Elizabeth Patterson have each scored a goal for the Marauders, while Hannah Smith earned the victory in net. She allowed one goal, while making nine saves. Smith earned NSCI Goalkeeper of the Week honors for her play.

Black Hills State University (0-3) has lost games to Minot State (6-0), Northern State (4-0), and Wayne State (5-0) to open 2017. Rose Miller leads the Yellow Jackets with eight shots taken, including two on goal. Time in goal has been split for the Green and Gold. Therese Wilhelmi, Raven Johnson, and Zoe Baldwin have each started one game, and each own a 0-1 record. Wilhelmi and Baldwin have each recorded six saves, while Johnson has tallied eight saves.
