DENVER, Colo. – The Black Hills State University men's basketball team fell to MSU Denver, 72-51, to snap a six-game win streak on Friday night.
Dez Stoudamire led the Yellow Jackets (13-9, 12-6 RMAC) with 13 points, while
Fraser Malcolm tallied 10.

In the first half, neither team was able to take a meaningful lead over the other. With a layup for
Sava Dukic, the Yellow Jackets pushed ahead of the Roadrunners (9-13, 7-11 RMAC), to lead by four. Demetrius Jackson drained a trey for MSU Denver, to give the Roadrunners their first lead and to lead, 34-28, at halftime.

Dez Stoudamire opened the second half with a two-point play to bridge the gap of MSU Denver's lead, but a 22-9 run pushed the Roadrunners to ultimately win, 72-51.Â

MSU Denver shot 50.0 percent (30-for-60) from the field, while BHSU shot 36.4 percent (20-for-55) from the floor. The Roadrunners were 8-for-22 (36.4 percent) from beyond the arc, while the Yellow Jackets were 3-for-24 (12.5 percent) for three pointers. MSUD was 80.0 percent from the charity stripe (4-for-5), while BHSU was 72.7 percent (8-for-11) at the free throw line. The Green and Gold were outrebounded, 32-25.

They Yellow Jackets will next play Chadron State, on February 16, in Nebraska. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. against the Eagles.
