WBB: Robinson inks name for 2019-20

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University head women's basketball coach, Mark Nore, has announced the signing of an additional student-athlete for the 2019-20 season.

Cody Robinson is a 5-7 guard from Vona, Colorado. During her career at Yuma High School, she has averaged 12.8 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game, including currently averaging 17.1 ppg and 6.6 rpg during her senior year. She helped lead her team to state championships in both 2016 and 2018, and is a team captain this year. Robinson is a two-time All-Conference and All-State player, and was named the 2A Player of the Year following her junior season.

"Cody is a perfect fit for our program, and a proven winner. We are tickled that she chose Black Hills State considering all the other options she had both academically and athletically," said coach Nore. "This kid is an absolute competitor and does it with a smile on her face. It will be exciting to work with her and see how her game evolves. As a coach, it is always fun to get to know players and players' families. Cody's family has quite the pedigree and have been former stand-out athletes at other universities. I know personally how competitive that family is. We want to welcome Cody to our Yellow Jacket family, and it is awesome to have her part of our school and community.

Cody is the daughter of Jamie and Jeremy Robinson. She plans to major in environmental physical science. She is the President of her National Honor Society chapter and has been on the Honor Roll at Yuma High School for seven consecutive semesters.
