T&F: Ullery inks name to BHSU

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University head track and field coach, Seth Mischke, has announced the signing of Reece Ullery to join the Yellow Jackets in the 2019-20 season.

Ullery is a jumper and sprinter from Elizabeth, Colorado. He has been a captain of the Elizabeth High School track and field squad his junior and senior years, and has qualified for the state meet starting his freshman season. He was on the state champion 4x100 relay team his freshman year. His junior season he qualified for state in the 100 meters, 4x100, triple jump, and long jump, and was named the MVP of the boys track and field team at Elizabeth High School.

"Reece is a really good pickup for us. We are excited to add a quality, instantly competitive, student-athlete to our program," said coach Mischke. "He has tremendous upside in regard to being able to train year round at the next level, and we are pumped he chose BHSU to further his academic and athletic careers."

Reece is the son of Jessi and Ron Ullery. He is a two-time Academic All-State honoree. He plans to major in exercise science at BHSU.
