SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's basketball team has announced information for the 2019 Summer Camps.
The Future Yellow Jackets Camp will be held May 28-29, for grades K-5. This camp is organized for younger campers to help develop basic basketball skills including shooting and dribbling while incorporating individual contests and teamwork.
The Position Camp is a one day camp on May 31 for grades 6-12. This camp is for learning post and perimeter footwork and drills, including those used by the Yellow Jackets. The camp will help players develop all aspects of perimeter and post play.
The Yellow Jacket Team Camp is June 1-2. The camp is for high school basketball teams, and the preferred application deadline is May 29. Each team must bring their own basketballs.
On June 3-5, the Developmental Overnight Camp will be held for players in grades 4-9. Campers will learn team concepts and develop individual skills. The campers will also compete in league games and other competition, with daily awards being passed out.
The Shooting Camp will be held on June 6-7 for grades 5-12. This camp will be a high level skills camp focused on shooting technique and footwork.
