Langston signs to Yellow Jacket track and field

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University head track and field coach, Seth Mischke, has announced the signing of Riley Langston to join the Yellow Jackets in the 2019-20 season.

Langston is a 5-5 thrower from Wright, Wyoming. She has placed at the state championship meet in discus two times, and in shotput once, with her senior year meet still to come. Her personal best in discus is 121', while her PR for shot is 36'. She also played volleyball at Wright High School, which won three titles, and made four appearances in the 2A State Championship Game.

"Riley is a very good find for our at this point in the season. She has a strong passion for our sport and is extremely excited to see what she can do at the next level," said coach Mischke. "With the addition of the javelin and hammer/weight throw at the collegiate level, I know she is pumped to give those a try. We are looking forward to helping Riley achieve her academic and athletic goals while at Black Hills State University."

Riley is the daughter of Arrow Langston. She plans to go into the medical field.
