SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Black Hills State men's and women's cross country teams will be hosting the Fourth Annual Gage McSpadden Memorial on Friday, September 20, at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club. This event takes place in memory of former BHSU student-athlete, Gage McSpadden, originally from Rawlings, Wyoming. The women's race will begin at 9 a.m. with the men's following at 9:45 a.m.

The Yellow Jackets opened their season at the Frontier Preview Invite in Billings, Montana, on September 13. The women's team finished first with the men's finishing second. All-American
Nicole Allerdings led the women, receiving fourth overall with a time of 19:53.30. On the men's side, senior
Jake Iverson led the team, placing third with a time of 26:53.10.
Keith Osowski and
Jordan Theisen finished close behind in fifth and sixth, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets will next travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational on September 28.
