Spearfish, SD –  The Black Hills State University men's basketball team thrilled the crowds again as they held off a late surge from Colorado School of Mines to win 65-61. The Yellow Jackets remain tied in first place in the RMAC with their 9-2 conference record and 12-5 season record.

The first half closed with a slight advantage for the Yellow Jackets as they lead 35-31. Mines responded coming out hot to take the lead in the opening minutes of the second half. A balanced attack and key turnovers allowed the Green and Gold to push a 14-0 run over seven minutes of play. The Orediggers would chip away at the lead BH built and, with a minute left of play, come within two points of the Yellow Jackets.
Tyler Oliver recorded a game sealing steal that allowed the Yellow Jackets to capitalize on fouls and win their ninth game in a row.

The Team hit 50 percent of their shots tonight including 40 percent of their three-pointers. At the line they were good for 64 percent.

Four Yellow Jackets were in double digit points with
Stefan Desnica leading the way. He posted 14 points averaging 75 percent on the night.
Sava Dukic and
Joel Scott each scored 13 points with Scott recording nine rebounds.
Tyler Oliver hit 12 points and posted six rebounds.

The Green and Gold will now kick off a two week road trip. They start by heading down to New Mexico Highlands University next Friday. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
