COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Abbie Fredrick has been named this week's RMAC track athlete of the week. Frederick broke an eight-year-old Chadron State College meet record running 5:14.06 in the mile. With the track and altitude conversion, she now sits at 4th in the RMAC with her 5:06.31 converted time. 

"It was great to see Abbie open her indoor season so well," said distance coach Scott Foley. "I believe the work she put in over winter break is paying off and she is setting herself up for a fantastic indoor and outdoor season. We went to Chadron with the goal of just getting in a hard effort. Running fast and getting the meet record is just icing on the cake."

Yellow Jacket track and field returns home this weekend for the Dave Little Alumni Mile.
