Spearfish, SD - Â The Black Hills State University track and field teams are home again this weekend for the Myrle Hanson Open. Action begins Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm with the field events. Running events begin at 2:30pm with the mile. The meet will feature a rolling schedule.

"We are looking forward to another opportunity to compete and get better; we have shown a nice progression over the last two competitions," said head coach
Seth Mischke. "With us nearing the mid-point of the indoor season, the ability to perform when needed becomes more and more valuable."

As February approaches, the Yellow Jackets have three athletes on the national lists.
Kyla Sawvell is 21
st in the shot put and 22
nd in the weight throw.
Whitney Scott is 23
rd in the pole vault while
Hannah Hendrick is 36
th.

At the RMAC level, the Green and Gold have numerous athletes sitting in the top eight, with Sawvell leading the conference in the shot put.
