Chadron, NE -  The Black Hills State University men's basketball team crushed the Chadron State College Eagles 97-74 to move to 12-2 in the RMAC and 15-5 in the conference. This is the teams 12^th win in a row and they remain tied with Dixie State at the top of the conference.

In a scoring onslaught, Trey Whitley could not be stopped as he tallied up 37 points. Making 14 of 19 field goal, including four of six from downtown, he also was five of six at the free throw line and recorded six steals.  His previous career high at BHSU was 23 points set last weekend against CSU – Pueblo.

Tyler Oliver also had a great night posting 22 points, recording three steals, and pulling down seven boards. He was eight of 13 from the field, including three of five three pointers, and five of six at the line. Joel Scott added 18 points in the scoring mania shooting 75 percent on the night. He also pulled down six boards.

The Yellow Jackets were good for 36 of 62 field goal shots (58%) on the night. That included 10 of 20 (50%) from beyond the arc. The team was solid at the charity stripe hitting 15 for 20 (75%).

The Green and Gold are back tomorrow night to face the Roadrunners in Denver, CO. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
