Spearfish, SD –The Black Hills State University softball team will no longer be hosting Adams state this weekend, instead traveling to Alamosa for two days of double header action. Recent weather and snow fall made Yellow Jacket Field unplayable. Game times are noon and 2pm on Saturday and 11:00am and 1:00pm on Sunday.

The Green and Gold are coming off some tough road loses to some stout RMAC competition and are looking to bounce back against Adams State. The Grizzlies are 2-12 overall and 2-12 in RMAC play. Yellow Jacket pitchers will have to look out for Samantha McDonald who, with 40 at bats this season, has a .375 batting average and nine runs on the season. Adams State leads the Yellow Jackets 12-3 all time since 2013. In their last match up in March of 2019, the Yellow Jackets eked out a 12-11 win.

Taryn Moan and her 3.95 batting average. Looking to fences will be
Maddie London. She has a .216 batting average but leads the teams in home runs with three and RBIs with eight.
Crystal Amaral leads in the pitcher circle and will look to add to her 24 strike outs this season. Â
