In set one the Yellow Jackets and Rangers came out evenly matched with both teams recording back-to-back points to open the set. BHSU would go on a five-point run to go up 10-6 over the rangers midway through the set forcing a Rangers timeout. Out of the timeout the rangers would start chipping away at the Yellow Jackets lead going up 15-13 over BHSU. Regis would then outscore the Yellow Jackets 10-5 to win set one 25-18.

Regis would take an early lead in set two going up three points to open play. Regis would hold a slight lead over the Yellow Jackets until BHSU would knot the score at 12 all. From that point the two teams would be even eight more times until the Yellow Jackets would knock out two more points on a pair of kills by Peyton Bodemann and Madison Hoopman to take the 27-25 win.

The Yellow Jackets struck first in the second match before Regis would pull even at five all. Regis would pull ahead of BHSU leading by as much as four points before the teams would be even at 12. From that point Regis would outscore BHSU 13-6 to take the set three victory 25-18 and lead in sets 2-1.

The Yellow Jackets looked fierce in the fourth set leading by as much as twelve points throughout the set. After going up 18-6 over the Rangers the Yellow Jackets would let the Rangers claw their way back into the set. Ultimately the lead the Yellow Jackets had put together would be too much for the Rangers to overcome and BHSU would win 25-17.

Set five saw BHSU take a quick two-point lead before Regis would get on the board. The two teams would lock scores six times throughout the match with the final tie being at nine all. From that point Regis would outscore the Yellow Jackets 6-3 to take the set and match victory.
