Black Hills State women's volleyball is set to take on Colorado Mesa and Westminster College October 15th and 16th, respectively.
 
The Yellow Jackets (5-11, 2-6 RMAC) will take on Colorado Mesa (11-4, 6-2 RMAC) Friday, October 15th at 7:00 p.m. and the Westminster Griffins (3-14, 1-7 RMAC) Saturday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m.
 
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a weekend split against Colorado Christian University, who BHSU defeated in straight sets Friday, October 8th, and No. 2 Metro State, who the Yellow Jackets fell to in straight sets Saturday, October 9th.

BHSU (5-11,2-6 RMAC) vs CMU (11-4, 6-2 RMAC)

Colorado Mesa University is currently tied for fourth in the RMAC and is coming off a win over Western Colorado in Straight sets on the road. The Mavericks defeated Western Colorado 25-23, 25-15, and 25-20. The Mavericks are currently on a three-game winning streak and have won nine straight sets. The last time the Mavericks and the Yellow Jackets faced off was on March 19th in a contest that saw the Mavericks defeated the Yellow Jackets in straight sets 25-16, 25-20, and 25-15. The last time BHSU defeated the Mavericks was on October 21st, 2016. In that contest the Yellow Jackets won in five sets after winning set one 25-17, losing set two 25-20, losing set three 25-18, winning set four 25-16, and winning set five 15-11.

The Griffins are currently tied for last in the RMAC and are coming off a four sets loss to Texas A&M Kingsville. The Griffins won set one 25-22, lost set two 25-21, lost set three 25-17, and lost set four 26-24. The Griffins are currently on a six-match losing streak with their last win coming against New Mexico Highlands University September 24th. The last time the Yellow Jackets and Griffins faced off BHSU walked away with a win in five sets after losing set one 25-17, losing set two 25-20, winning set three 25-20, winning set four 25-13, and winning set five 15-7. In that contest both Madison Hoopman and Sierra Ward recorded double digit kills.
