Black Hills State women's volleyball is set to take on Adams State and New Mexico Highlands at the Donald E. Young Center Friday and Saturday.
 
BHSU (5-15, 2-10 RMAC) will take on Adams State (9-12, 5-6 RMAC) Friday, October 29th at 7:00 p.m. and New Mexico Highlands (7-15, 3-9 RMAC) Saturday, October 30th at 5:30 p.m. in the teams "Welcome Back Alumni" weekend at the Donald E. Young Center.
 
Black Hills State is coming off a pair of road losses to Western Colorado and Fort Lewis College. The Yellow Jackets went to four sets against the Mountaineers recording 58 kills led by Mariah Robinson and Kindra Cerrone with 15 apiece. Ultimately BHSU would fall 3-1 against Western Colorado. The Yellow Jackets forced five sets against the Skyhawks after falling in set one 25-19, winning set two 25-13, winning set three 26-24, the Yellow Jackets fell in set four 25-20 and fell in set five 15-11.

The Grizzlies are coming off a weekend split where they faced off against #1 Metro State falling in straight sets 25-17, 25-18, and 25-18 and Colorado Christian winning in four sets winning set one 25-19, falling in set two 25-22, winning set three 25-17, and winning set four 25-16. Currently Adams State is ranked ninth in the RMAC with a 5-7 conference record. The last time the Yellow Jackets and Grizzlies faced off was March 19th, 2021, in a contest that saw the Grizzlies come out on top winning in straight sets 25-18, 25-23, and 25-21. The last time the Yellow Jackets defeated the Grizzlies was on October 25th, 2019, in a contest that went to five sets but saw the Yellow Jackets prevail in the fifth set.

The Cowgirls are coming off a weekend that saw them fall in straight sets to #1 Metro State falling 25-21, 25-13, and 25-14 and falling in five sets to Colorado Christian falling in set one 25-23, winning set two 25-23, winning set three 25-18, falling in set four 26-24, and falling in set five 16-14. The Cowgirls and the Yellow Jackets did not face off in the 2020-21 season as the Cowgirls opted out of competition. The last time the Cowgirls and BHSU faced off was in 2019 in a matchup that went five sets but saw the Yellow Jackets come out on top after winning set one 25-18, falling in set two 25-18, falling in set three 25-17, winning set four 25-21, and winning set five 15-12.
 
Welcome Back Alumni Weekend
Alumni will get in free to both volleyball games with any spouse or family member getting a 50% discount. Alumni will need to stop at will call to redeem this deal. The Yellow Jackets would also like to invite any kids coming to the game to come in costume and come "Trick-or-Treat" with the players between the second and third sets of both volleyball games.
