PUEBLO, Colo. – Black Hills State women's soccer dropped its match 3-1 to CSU Pueblo Friday night at Art and Lorraine Gonzalez Stadium.
The Yellow Jackets (2-6, 1-4 RMAC) totaled three shots and two shots on goal in the game.
Alexa Buckley scored her first goal of the season in the 49th minute on her lone shot of the day.
Also with shots were
Ella Goodman, and
Emma Avery with a shot on goal.
Goalkeeper
Makayla Dannelly totaled six saves against 17 shots between the pipes.
The Thunderwolves were on the attack early, scoring twice on seven shots in the first half. Avery was able to put up a shot on goal at 25:44 and Scruggs got a shot off in the final minute of the first but wouldn't connect, and the Yellow Jackets went into halftime trailing 2-0.
BHSU got on the board early in the second half as Buckley found the net at 49:10 off of a pass from Goodman to make it a 2-1 game, and Dannelly added another couple of big saves to keep it a 1-point game.
Dannelly would grab another save as the half continued, but the Thunderwolves would score once more in the closing minutes as the game ended 3-1.
