Black Hills State women's volleyball fell to Metro State University in straight sets Saturday night at the Donald E Young Center.

Madison Hoopman again led the Yellow Jackets in kills recording ten kills on the night.

Karly Marx led the team in assists recording 21.

Haedyn Rhoades was the dig leader for the Yellow Jackets with 11 digs.

Three Yellow Jackets had aces one the night with Peyton Podemann,
Kindra Cerrone, and Rhoades each recording one.

The Yellow Jackets got out to a quick two-point lead in set one before MSU Denver got on the board. MSU Denver would then go on a run outscoring the Yellow Jackets 10-3 prompting a BHSU time out. Out of the timeout the Roadrunners would keep the momentum going putting up seven more points to the Yellow Jackets one. 17-6 The Yellow Jackets would put up six more points in the set but ultimately fall in set one 25-13.

Set two was competitive between BHSU and MSUD with the teams staying within two of one another until the Roadrunners took a three-point lead at 12-9. BHSU would then sink three straight points to knot it up at 12 all. MSU Denver would then take a slight lead before BHSU would knot things up again at 18 and again at 19. BHSU would take a one-point lead at 21-20 before the Roadrunners would go on a 5-1 point run to defeat the Yellow Jackets in set two 25-22.

Set three began with the team battling being tied up at 1, 2, and 3 before MSU Denver would go on a four-point run to take the lead. The Roadrunners would hold onto that lead throughout the set leading by as much as 10 points. The Yellow Jackets would fight to get on top but would ultimately fall to the Roadrunners 25-18.
